What is medical weight loss?
Medical weight loss is the use of medications to help with weight loss. Medical weight loss is different than surgical weight loss, which includes things like gastric sleeves and gastric bypass. Medical weight loss does not include surgery (and ReVitalize does not do weight loss surgery), but rather utilizes prescription medication, like GLP-1 medications, as a tool to help individuals lose excess weight when clinically apropriate.
ReVitalize is able to serve our patients through the use of telemedicine services. As long as you are located in an area we serve you are able to book a consultation with one of our licensed medical providers. After a medical consultation visit, which will be performed via a video visit with your provider, and after your provider has reviewed the records you have provided from your personal provider, you and your medical provider will decide on the best course of action for you. As long as you are a good candidate for medical weight loss, you will be prescribed a medication to help you. (As with all prescription medications, you are not guaranteed a prescription with an initial consultation. Your medical provider will need to use their best medical judgement to ensure your safety before any prescriptions are written.)
At ReVitalize, your medical provider is fully licensed, so any appropriate medication may be prescribed, lately we are helping many of our patients obtain GLP-1 meds.

GLP-1 medications—what are they and how do they work?
Glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists help people lose weight by slowing the gut down and making you feel full faster and stay full longer . Initial Consult
Your provider will review your physical and labs prior to your first visit. At your initial consultation, your ReVitalize provider will work with you to create a plan to achieve your weight loss goals. This visit will last about 45 minutes.

Prescriptions
After your initial consultation, if you are an appropriate candidate, you will receive a prescription to provide to your pharmacy, or one of our partner pharmacies, so that you can get started right away.

Monitoring
You will schedule monthly appointments to monitor your progress, side effects, and adjust your dosage as needed. Your refills, if appropriate, will be ordered at the time of your monitoring visit.
